Hawks and Hawk Migration with Dr. Steve Hale (Virtual Program)
We've invited Dr. Steve Hale back to share his knowledge of hawks and hawk migration, in preparation for the fall migration season. Join us for this Zoom program, where Dr. Hale will teach us the basics of hawk, falcon, and eagle identification and learn what to expect in a fall hawkwatch.
Concerts & Cookies Series: Eloise & Co – Celtic music & Gritty French groove tunes
The concert is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited to 50 patrons. Please register ahead of time.
If the weather is good, the concert will be held at the gazebo at the Bedford Village Common. Please bring chairs and blankets to sit on. If the weather is bad, the concert will be in the McAllaster Room, and masks will be required while attending the concert.
Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Bedford Library will be served.

Perspectives Book Group (Virtual Program): The Women with Silver Wings
Join Dr. Carrie Brown for a discussion of The Women with Silver Wings by Katherine Sharp Landdeck. This book tells the inspiring true story of women pilots (WASPs) in World War II. Publishers Weekly favorably reviewed the book and stated, "This colorful history soars". Dr. Brown is an independent scholar and freelance history museum curator who holds a Ph. D. in American Literature and Folklore from the University of Virginia and is the article of two books and many articles and exhibit catalogs.
