Hassan is a culinary ingenue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Displaced from their native India, his family settles in a quaint village in the south of France. They plan to open an Indian restaurant, that is, until Madame Mallory, the owner of a classical French restaurant, gets wind of it. Her icy protests against the new Indian restaurant so near her own escalate to all out war; until Hassan's cooking talent and love for Mme. Mallory's assistant, Marguerite cannot be ignored.

Sunday at the Library Concert Series - Jeff Rapsis

It was the film that introduced movie-goers to visions of flying children, magical fairies, human-like animals and menacing pirates.
It was the original silent film adaptation of 'Peter Pan,' a picture personally supervised by author J.M. Barrie.
The film was a major hit when released in 1924, with audiences eager to get their first big-screen look at the wonders of Neverland.

The program will feature live music for the movie by silent film accompanist Jeff Rapsis.
The film is appropriate for all ages, making for a unique afternoon family afternoon.
