There's no one more popular than Toe Jam Puppet Band to open up our Summer Reading Program this year! Tom and Vinny will be bringing their silly songs and ridiculous antics to Bedford's Town Hall on Friday, June 23 at 1:30pm. Fun for all ages, including the young and the young at heart! Good news...Elda Cordero-Goodman, a retired nurse practitioner, under the auspices of the Lions Club, will be on hand at the library at various times over the next few months to do quick, non-invasive vision screenings on young children, beginning at 6 months of age. Great news! Sweet Lilly, our library reading dog, has decided she can squeeze us in for 2 visits a month, beginning in May! Lilly sits by patiently listening while young readers practice their skills on her...this has proved to be of tremendous benefit in helping kids gain confidence to read aloud in class.
