Friends of the Bedford Library

The Friends of the Bedford Library (the “Friends”) is looking for new board members and volunteers.  The Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises money to fund items on the Library’s wish list through membership dues and an annual pie sale held the weekend before Thanksgiving, and donations made at the Sunday Concert series.

The goal of the Friends is to promote high quality library services as well as host the Sunday Concerts which run from September - May, provide the museum pass to the New England Aquarium, provide items for the Children’s Summer Reading program and other items for the Library that are not in its budget, such as the filament used by the MakerBot, the Library’s 3D printer.  Membership to the Friends is open to anyone interested in supporting the library and its programs.

Currently we are looking for a Treasurer, Membership, and Marketing Board members, as well as volunteers.  If you would be interested in volunteering or joining our Board, please email us at or stop by one of our Board meetings, which are held at the Library in the New Hampshire Room on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. from September through May.   However, due to scheduling conflicts our next Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8th.
