In honor of Money Smart Week, we'd like to highlight two excellent investing resources: Value Line and Morningstar. Did you know that your library card entitles you to access both of these resources 24/7 via the Library's website?
Savvy investors know that Value Line, which contains reviews of over 1,700 stocks, is a great resource to use when deciding which stocks to buy and sell. In Value Line, click Dashboard to find the Selection & Opinion, Summary & Index, and Small and Mid-Cap (SMC) Summary & Index. You may also search company reports by company name or ticker symbol. You may view the traditional company report format as a PDF. The online service also includes an Investment Education Center and daily news reports about the stock market.
Morningstar Investment Research Center contains comprehensive financial information and analyst commentary about stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs as well as return information about various investment indexes, types, sectors, and styles. Plus, the new investor can take advantage of the online tutorials and courses about a variety of investing topics.
Both resources may be accessed via the Databases A to Z & Articles page (hover over eLibrary to see the page). You'll just need your library card number and password to access the resources from home. Please note that each resource only allows a limited number of users at one time. If you are unable to log in, try again a little later. If you are using the resource, please make sure to logoff when you are finished, so that other users can log on.
