Dear hoopla user,
After much consideration, the Library and the Board of Trustees have decided to discontinue hoopla access on April 30, 2025. This was a difficult decision, and we wanted to let you know right away.
Unfortunately, the pay-per-use model that hoopla utilizes makes the service unsustainable within our current budget. From 2022 to 2024 alone, we saw hoopla costs increase by 38%. Hoopla is our most expensive digital service and we had to make the tough choice to discontinue it at this time. Hoopla costs 7 times more per checkout than Libby, for example.
We know that you value downloadable audiobooks and ebooks. You are still able to access both through Overdrive's Libby app and CloudLibrary. We collaborate with libraries across the state and the NH State Library (with funding from IMLS) to provide a robust ebook and eaudio collection with Overdrive’s Libby. Additionally, the GMILCS libraries work together to provide expanded ebook and audiobook offerings with CloudLibrary. We also offer streaming movies and TV with Kanopy, thanks to support from the Bedford Library Foundation.

Before April 30, if you would like a list of the titles you have checked out through hoopla or that you have on your favorites/wishlist, you will need to either write down the titles or take a screenshot of the items in your hoopla history. The library does not have access to this information.
Find your checkout history by going to the Hoopla app; select “My hoopla”; select “Complete History”; write down or take a screenshot of the titles.
