Story Times

Story times run in the fall, winter, and spring. In summer, we do offer one session for Mother Goose and Toddler 2's

The 7-week fall session runs from January 16th to March 2nd

Drop in sessions for ages 3 & up
  • Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.
  • No registration necessary.
  • Preschool sessions incorporate a variety of stories, songs with motions, finger plays, film strips and related crafts.
  • Adults are welcome to stay in the storytime; if they elect not to do so, they must stay in the Children’s Library area, where they may be found, until the session is over.
Toddler 2's
  • Mondays & Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
  • Toddler 2's is reserved for kids who are 24-36 months old at the beginning of the session.
  • Toddler sessions incorporate a variety of stories, songs with motions, finger plays, film strips and related crafts.
  • Patrons must have a valid Bedford Public Library card in good standing.
  • Adults are expected to remain with toddlers and actively participate with them during storytime.
  • Registration is required and opens up on-line 2 weeks prior to the session. Those wait-listed will have first priority for the next session.
Mother Goose
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays at 10:00 a.m. (Tuesdays only during the summer)
  • Mother Goose Time is a specialized program, utilizing lots of rhythm instruments, scarves, rhymes, board books and the like.
  • Mother Goose Time is exclusively for babies who are 0-24 months old when the session begins.
  • Adults must be fully engaged in participating with the children.
  • Patrons must have a valid Bedford Public Library card in good standing.
  • Registration is required and opens up on-line 2 weeks prior to the session.
