Voting for the 2023 Great Stone Face award is now open! NH students in grades 4-6 can vote for their favorite book from a list of 20 nominees. Voting will end on April 30 and the winner will be announced in early May.
February is Black History Month! Using the link below you can view our curated list of 80 books for children covering the Civil Rights movement, Reconstruction, prominent figures in history, stories and picture books featuring Black characters, and biographies of contemporary sports stars and political figures.
You can place a hold on any of these titles using the 'Place Request' button and entering your library barcode and password.

It's that time of year again! From now until December 21 readers up to third grade can vote for their favorite nominee for this year's Ladybug Award in the Children's Room!
The Ladybug Picture Book Award is designed to promote early literacy and honor the best in recent children's picture books. A committee of children's librarians from around the state selects 10 picture book titles each spring. Then, during December, New Hampshire children from preschool to 3rd grade choose the winner.
