Calling all bakers (okay, and shoppers)... The Cake Walk has been a prominent feature of our Fun Faire every year. The children march around the circle until the music stops... Whoever is standing on the lucky footprint gets to choose a whole cake or special batch of goodies to take home to share with his/her family. The Cake Walk is an old tradition, dating back to the 1800's, sometimes incorporating a dance form, as well. There is only one thing needed for a successful Cake Walk...cakes! We would like to request that those attending our annual Fun Faire bring along a cake or festively wrapped batch of goodies to be given as prizes. With all the marvelous bakeries and markets around town, you don't even need to bake, if you can't find the time! Thanks, everybody...see you at the Faire!
