The team competition for most books read this summer couldn't have been much closer ! In the end, only 4 titles separated the Tortoises and the Hares! In the final lap, the Tortoises squeaked out a victory, logging 7734 books, with the Hares close behind at 7730. The pre-reading Frogs made an excellent showing, with 6227. Doing the math, you will see that the 976 Bedford youngsters enrolled in the Summer Reading Program read and reported on a grand total of 21,691 books! That's quite an accomplishment, and beats last year's total by over 2000 titles! Congratulations to all of you! Keep up the good reading!
