As the 2010s concluded, staff at many magazines, websites, and libraries took a look back and chose the best books of the decade. It's fascinating to review the variety of new stories that emerged during the 2010s and to see which ones we're still talking about. On Wednesday, October 26th we held our second Reader's Tea of the year. This time the focus was Take Time to Read! I (Caitlin) offered some tips on how to squeeze more reading time into your life, and several staff members gave book talks about excellent books they've read recently.

Recently, you may have seen one of our new read-alike bookmarks, offering recommendations for your next great read, tucked inside of a book. These bookmarks are designed to suggest books that you may enjoy because of similar themes, writing styles, characters, settings and more. They now cover more than 60 of our most popular titles, from
Thanks to the generosity of the Bedford Library Foundation, the Canterbury Shaker Village Museum pass is now available.
This pass admits any combination of two adults or children to the museum and exhibits. The admission co-pay is $6 per adult and $3 per child. The pass can be used for most special events, except Village Rising, Ghost Encounters, and Christmas at Canterbury.
During the upper level closure, we’re providing as many services and items as possible in the lower level gallery, but we know that our mini-library can’t replicate the experience of getting lost in the stacks and serendipitously finding your next great read. We’ve already heard from several of you who miss browsing.
