Movie Screenings

Movie Screenings at the Bedford Public Library

Recognizing cinema as an important artform and storytelling medium in contemporary society, the Bedford Public Library is happy to offer a variety of films for viewings on the big screen in the McAllaster Room. Audience members are welcome to bring a drink or small snack if they would like.

Thursday Theater
Thursday Theater is your chance to view hit contemporary films with friends and neighbors.  Generally held on the first Thursday of the month, screenings take place at 2:00 and 6:00.  Depending on the movies available and factors like demand and run time, we’ll either offer two showings of the same film or two different films.  To see the next films in the lineup, please visit our online calendar.

Cinema Sunday
At Cinema Sunday we explore classic films with a short presentation, followed by a screening of the movie and time for discussion afterwards.  Learn something new about an old favorite or see one of those bucket-list films you’ve been meaning to watch for ages!  Cinema Sunday starts at 1:30 and runs September through May, usually on the second Sunday of the month.  For movie titles and registration, please visit the online calendar.
