Reader's Tea Take Time to Read

On Wednesday, October 26th we held our second Reader's Tea of the year. This time the focus was Take Time to Read! I (Caitlin) offered some tips on how to squeeze more reading time into your life, and several staff members gave book talks about excellent books they've read recently.

Read Alike Bookmarks at Bedford Library (For the books you like, love and want more of!)

Recently, you may have seen one of our new read-alike bookmarks, offering recommendations for your next great read, tucked inside of a book.  These bookmarks are designed to suggest books that you may enjoy because of similar themes, writing styles, characters, settings and more.  They now cover more than 60 of our most popular titles, from

Shakespeare's in town

This month, make sure to take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the few existing copies of Shakespeare's First Folio when it is on display at the Currier Museum from April 9 to May 1.  The First Folio is the first printed collection of Shakespeare's plays.  Shakespeare died 400 years ago this month, on April 23, 1616 (his 52nd birthday). Seven years later, in 1623, the First Folio was printed.
