Teen Advisory and Summer Wrap-Up

The summer reading program for teens and adults was an overwhelming success; thank you to all of the teen participants of the 6 Book Challenge! We had 24 teens complete the challenge and receive the thermos prize. As summer begins the wind down, remember the library offers a great selection of SAT and college prep books for your college planning needs. Our extended weeknight hours (until 8:30pm Monday-Thursday) means the library will be available as a quiet space to study, pick up materials for that last-minute paper, or hop on a public computer to finish some homework.

Coming up on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30 p.m. a Teen Advisory Group meeting will be held for all teens interested in changing the face of young adult services at the BPL. The library is dedicated to providing the teen community with the materials and services that they want most. However, we need your help to decide what to offer! If you want to discuss what teen services you’d like to see offered by the library, please stop by the Teen Advisory Group this Wednesday. Let your voice be heard and help us improve upon our young adult services!

The meeting will be held in the Richmond Room at the library on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30p.m. Snacks will be provided; bring a friend!

You can sign up here or by calling the library at 472-2300.
