Resolve to Read

Another new year, another chance to make (and break) resolutions.  This year, resolve to take time to read, even if it's just a few minutes a day.  We're here to help you choose the perfect book and go beyond the bestseller list.

As you can imagine, we read a lot of books.  Check the staff picks list for some of the best books we read in 2015.  Want more recommendations?  Take a look at NPR's Book Concierge

Do you want to challenge yourself to read outside your comfort zone?  This year, Caitlin took the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge, which encouraged her to try a variety of books.  Consider taking the 2016 challenge.

Have you ever wanted to take a year off and just read?  Nina Sankovitch did just that. Read about her experience in Tolstoy and the Purple Chair and her blog readallday.org.

Whether you can take just a few minutes or an entire day to read, stop by the Library to pick up a book.  We have rearranged the fiction, mystery, and science fiction sections to make it easier to find a great read.  As we moved the books around, we found many forgotten treasures that we'd like to share with you.

Here's to a year of great reading!
