Are you looking for a relative's wedding or birth announcement?  Do you want to learn about the Carousel Ballroom or Beau Reve?  Are you curious to know what was on the school lunch menu in 1973?    Take a trip down memory lane with the Library's digital collection of the Bedford-Merrimack Bulletin from 1970 to 2008.  If you find something neat, feel free to let us know by emailing reference@bedfordnh.org or by sharing your find with the Library on Facebook (@BedfordNHLibrary) or Twitter (@BedfordLibrary).

Here are a few search tips:

  • Remote access is limited to Bedford Public Library cardholders.  Please contact the Reference Desk to obtain the user name and password.
  • Choose "exact phrase" from the dropdown menu to search for a phrase such as Beau Reve or Carousel Ballroom.

  • You may narrow the time period either on the first search page, or on the left hand side of your results page
  • Once you have found an article of interest, you may click the icons at the top of the article page to download the entire page or crop the article and share it to Facebook or Twitter

  • The Library also has bound copies of these newspapers, in case you need to access a higher quality image

The digitization of the 1970-1976 newspaper editions was funded by a SHARP grant from New Hampshire Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities, through the American Rescue Plan.
