The Bedford Public Library is excited to welcome local medieval scholar Dr. Kavita Mudan Finn to discuss the historical and literary depictions of the six wives of Henry VIII: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Katherine Parr. Explore these fascinating women's lives: where they came from, how the marriage came about, the results of the marriage, and how they have been portrayed in literary texts from contemporary poetry to Shakespeare to modern depictions such as the Showtime series The Tudors and the hit Broadway musical Six (2017). Learn more and register for a spot via our online calendar.
If you can't wait for the presentation on Tuesday, March 25 either, browse the carousels below to find books, movies, and music available to checkout from Bedford and other GMILCS libraries. To place a hold, click on the cover image to visit our online catalog or call (603) 472-2300.
