Join friends and neighbors for a hit movie on the big screen in the McAllaster Room. Feel free to bring a small snack or drink if you would like.
At 2:00 we'll be showing The Choral. As war rages on the Western Front during World War I, the Choral Society in Ramsden, Yorkshire has lost most of its men to the army. The Choral's ambitious committee, determined to press ahead, decides to recruit local young males to swell their ranks. They must also engage a new chorus master, and despite their suspicions that he has something to hide, their best bet seems to be Dr. Henry Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes) - driven, uncompromising, and recently returned from a career in Germany. As conscription papers start to arrive, the whole community discovers that the best response to the chaos that is laying waste to their lives is to make music together.
For the evening movie, we'll be showing a film for the whole family, Toy Story 5. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of the gang's jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same? Featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Conan O'Briend and Greta Lee.
