Friends of the Library Concert Series: The Modernistics Trio

Modernistics Trio Gems from the Jazz Age friends of the Bedford Library Concert Series

Join us for the final Friends of the Library Concert of spring on Sunday April 19 at 2:30.

Called “absolutely joyous, virtuosic and wonderful” (Concerts at the Crane), The Modernistics Trio will perform Gems from the Jazz Age – swinging songs, tap-dance numbers, and jazz instrumentals by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and other master tunesmiths of the Jazz Age. Among the selections are Blue Skies, Singing in the Rain, Let’s Misbehave, and Ellington’s Black and Tan Fantasy. Ted, Peter, and Dave have played together for decades, and each of them has impressive credentials performing in the U.S. and abroad. “An excellent musical group…delightful!” (The Essex Daily News, NJ).

The concert is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited to 100 patrons, so please be sure to register via our online calendar. Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Bedford Library will be served at intermission.

The Concert Series is hosted by the Friends of the Bedford Library.
