Marlena Phillips is a full-time singer, songwriter, pianist, and entertainer who has spent her entire adult life doing what she loves most—bringing people together through music. Based in New Hampshire, she's known for creating performances that audiences don't just hear...they experience. With a voice that is both powerful and comforting, Marlena has earned a reputation for connecting with audiences of every age. Whether she's performing in an intimate listening room, a packed theater, or an outdoor summer concert, her goal is always the same: to leave people smiling, singing along, laughing, reminiscing, and looking forward to the next show.
Throughout her career, Marlena has had the privilege of opening for or sharing the stage with acclaimed artists including Rod Stewart, Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones, Joan Osborne, Phil Vassar, and Cheap Trick. In recent years, she has become a headlining performer herself, presenting ticketed concerts in theaters and premier venues throughout New England. In addition to performing hundreds of live shows each year, Marlena continues to write and record original music, collaborating with talented musicians and producers in both New England and Nashville. She accompanies herself on piano and guitar and also enjoys incorporating harmonica and ukulele into her performances.
The concert is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited to 100 patrons, so please be sure to register via our online calendar. Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Bedford Library will be served at intermission.
