The baskets have arrived! The Read-A-Thon is live! The Friends of the Bedford Library annual fall fundraiser is under way!
The Books & Baskets Raffle has become a beloved tradition, featuring baskets donated by local businesses, volunteers, and library supporters. This year's themes include kids' and teens' baskets, cozy fantasy, cooking, golf, and more. The baskets are on display at the Library now. Online raffle tickets can be purchased now through October 3 the Friends of the Library website or members of the Friends will be at the Bedford Public Library to sell tickets in-person October 1 - October 3.
This year - for the first time ever - the Friends are also hosting a Read-A-Thon. Readers who wish to participate can sign up online via read-a-thon.com using the event code 3409889. The Read-A-Thon will wrap up with a celebration party on Saturday, October 3, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Join the Friends after-hours at the library for activities, snacks, and prizes as we celebrate everyone’s reading accomplishments. To register for the finale event, please visit our online calendar.
All proceeds from both fundraisers go directly to the Bedford Public Library, which helps support the incredible programs, events, and services that make our library such a vibrant part of the community.
