This fall we strongly encourage face masks in the library for everyone over 2 years old, regardless of vaccination status. The Library Board of Trustees agreed at their August 20th meeting that face coverings should be strongly encouraged when the spread of Covid-19 is at substantial transmission levels in Hillsborough County as identified by the CDC.
There’s no doubt about it – the Summer Reading Program wouldn’t happen without the support of our community here in Bedford. This year we had several sponsors and donors who helped to make our program a great success.
Jo-Anne Johnson Family Dentistry generously supported our Popsicle Thursdays as well as our Ice Cream Truck Finale Party.
The 2020 Olympics are in full swing! Browse the carousels below to find all kinds of books about the Olympics, the host country and more!

The Games
It’s been a great few weeks of Tails and Tales Summer Reading and we want to celebrate! All our Summer Reading participants are welcome to come get a free ice cream treat on Thursday July 29 from 11:30-12:30 in the Bedford Village Commons parking lot. You can register for the ice cream truck finale by clicking here.
We will also have free prize books and a coupon for a free kiddie cone at Hayward’s Ice Cream at the library for our participants.
It's that time again - a new Great Stone Face list is here! New Hampshire students in grades 4 through 6 are invited to read books from the list and then vote on their favorite in the spring.
Clicking on any of the cover images will bring you to our catalog where you can place a hold on the title.
The 2021 winner is Wildfire by Rodman Philbrick!
Are you ready to craft this summer? We'll be offering take and make crafts starting next week on June 14! Each craft will be indivdually packaged for you to take home and complete. Instructions will be included with the craft and a video demonstation will be available on our Youtube page. We'll offer a different craft every week through Summer Reading until July 30. Please be sure to take one craft per child. Feel free to ask for crafts when you pick up your books curbside! Happy Crafting!

The Zoom link will be emailed out one hour before the program begins.
Summer Reading is approaching! This summer’s theme is Tails and Tales and we’re so excited for an animal-filled summer! There’s always something happening in the Children’s Room, but this summer it’s really going to be a jungle in here!
