Resolve to Read

Another new year, another chance to make (and break) resolutions.  This year, resolve to take time to read, even if it's just a few minutes a day.  We're here to help you choose the perfect book and go beyond the bestseller list.

As you can imagine, we read a lot of books.  Check the staff picks list for some of the best books we read in 2015.  Want more recommendations?  Take a look at NPR's Book Concierge

ReferenceUSA: Business information and much more

Don't let the name deceive you.  ReferenceUSA is not a reference book about the United States.  It's a robust database of business information, plus residential and business phone numbers from around the country and much more.  Trying to contact classmates to plan a class reunion?  Try ReferenceUSA.  Are you looking for a job?  ReferenceUSA's U.S. Jobs/Internships module is for you.  Trying to find a doctor?  Use the U.S.

What are you reading? July 30th

We've had over 140 adults register for our 7 Book Summer and over 65 teens register for the Teen 8 Book Challenge! Many people have earned their halfway prize (either a certificate for our book sale or for a 3D printed prize on our new 3D printer) by reading three books for adults or four books for teens. Some have even completed the challenge already!

There's still time to sign up! Just stop by the circulation desk at the library. While you're here, check our whiteboard to see what people are reading and to add your own current read!

New Museum Pass- Castle in the Clouds

Thanks to the Bedford Library Foundation, the Library now offers a pass to Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough.  The pass provides free admission for two adults and two youths.  Castle in the Clouds is the Lucknow Estate, a rare example of Arts and Crafts style architecture that was built by a wealthy industrialist in 1914.  The Castle is surrounded by beautiful grounds and gardens, perfect for a day trip.

Reserve the pass today!
