Here is a sneak peek of books that will be arriving soon to the Young Adult collection!

Let your voice be heard and nominate your new favorite book for the 2016 Flume Teen Readers’ Choice Award! If you are between the grades of 9-12, you can nominate your favorite book published within the last 2 years for the Flume award. The Flume is awarded annually to one Young Adult title, which is chosen and voted on by New Hampshire teens.

New books are constantly being added to our Young Adult collection and we have a wide variety of genres to choose from. You can now also find a selection of magazines on the YA display shelf- check them out!

Here is a selection of our newest additions:

Going on vacation? Did you know you can suspend your hold requests so that your items don’t come in while you’re gone? If you’ve been waiting a long time for a title or just don’t want to have to re-request items, just suspend your holds until a date of your choosing.

The summer reading program for teens is well underway!

If you haven’t already signed up for the 6 Book Challenge, stop by the front desk to register for our Adult/Teen summer reading program. Keep track of the books you read this summer; if you read 3 by July 11^th, bring in your journal and you will receive a raffle ticket for the midway prize raffle drawing. Complete 6 books and if you are one of the first 50 people to do so, you will receive a ‘Wake Up and Read’ thermos!

In July and August, the library will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be closed on Sundays.

We are happy to offer a new pass to the Worcester Art Museum. Each pass admits 2 adults & 2 children.

The collections at the Worcester Art Museum include American & European art as well as Ancient, Chinese, Indian, Islamic, Japanese, Korean, and Precolumbian art. The Museum recently acquired the John Woodman Higgins Armory collection. The Knights! arms and armor exhibition opened in March, 2014.
