We wish all of you a very happy 2020!  We will be open until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31 and will be closed on New Year's Day.  Remember, you can always access the eLibrary 24/7.

Just in time for summer, our new Teen Space furniture has arrived! Next to the YA books on the main level, you'll now find our new furniture setup. There are comfy chairs to curl up and read in, as well as chairs with built-in tablet tables to prop up your devices as you study. We also have an awesome new charging station, so if your battery is running low you can plug in and charge it up! Every piece of furniture is on wheels, so feel free to push things around and make the space your own.

We thank the Bedford Library Foundation for generously funding the space.

Just in time for April vacation, the library has a new addition to our collection: board games! The display of games that are available to check out is located in the Young Adult section on the main floor.

We've had over 140 adults register for our 7 Book Summer and over 65 teens register for the Teen 8 Book Challenge! Many people have earned their halfway prize (either a certificate for our book sale or for a 3D printed prize on our new 3D printer) by reading three books for adults or four books for teens. Some have even completed the challenge already!

What is Bedford reading this week?

Summer is finally here and the Teen 8 Book Challenge at the Bedford Public Library has begun! Sign up at the library anytime during the summer and receive a journal to log your finished books. Once you have read 4 books, show your completed journal entries to a staff member and choose a mid-way prize: either a certificate for books from our used book sale room, or a certificate to have an item made on our new 3D printer! After 8 books, you will receive the final prize of a Mason jar water bottle.
