Books & Bubbles

Hey, kids! Guess what? The number of visits to the Reporting Lab this summer just topped the1000 mark! Was yours one of them? So far, over 7000 books have been logged in...but there's lots of time left to bring the number up to our annual average of 20,000. The Mad Scientists are still in the lead, but the Robots are narrowing the gap...keep up the good work! The Lab Rats are not that far behind...thanks to all the parents and siblings who've been reading to the little guys.

A word about our sponsors...Many area businesses have stepped up with generous gift coupons to encourage our young readers. Spare Time Bowling Lanes, Weathervane Seafood and Mel's Funway have been distributed thus far. I would urge you to be equally generous in giving them your patronage...perhaps thank them when you visit their establishments. We are so fortunate to have their support!

We've had great entertainment already this summer...magician, accordion show, comedian...but there's more to come! Next Wednesday, Keith Michael Johnson, AKA Bubbleman, will be at the library to amaze you with his brand of Bubbleology. It's astounding what he can do with soap and water! There's still room to sign up on-line, but space is filling fast!
