Great news! Sweet Lilly, our library reading dog, has decided she can squeeze us in for 2 visits a month, beginning in May!
Lilly sits by patiently listening while young readers practice their skills on her...this has proved to be of tremendous benefit in helping kids gain confidence to read aloud in class. Lilly has also been known to transform some dog-shy young patrons into dog lovers!
Lilly will be at the library on Thursday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 23, from 4:00-5:30pm. If you would like to be sure of securing a 15-minute time slot for a private audience with her, you may call the Children's Library, beginning May 4th. Otherwise, you may wish to just drop by and see if she's available. Note: There is NO on-line registration for this program.
