Vision Screening

Good news...Elda Cordero-Goodman, a retired nurse practitioner, under the auspices of the Lions Club, will be on hand at the library at various times over the next few months to do quick, non-invasive vision screenings on young children, beginning at 6 months of age. This is entirely voluntary, and free to the public. These preliminary spot checks can alert parents to the need for consulting an eye doctor for conditions such as near and far-sightedness, lazy eye, strabismus and such.
The library has recived many inquiries since this blog entry was originally posted. There is no particular schedule for screenings. Ms. Cordero has given us her phone number to publish...please leave a message, and she will return your call: (603) 627-4206.
