Voting for the Great Stone Face Award is open!

Voting for the 2021 Great Stone Face Award is now open to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in New Hampshire!

The Great Stone Face Book Award is given annually to an author whose book receives the most votes from 4th through 6th graders throughout the state.  In April, N.H. children vote for their favorite book from a list of 20 recently-published titles that are chosen by the Great Stone Face (GSF) Committee, which is made up of librarians throughout the state.  The purpose of the award is to promote reading enjoyment, to increase awareness of contemporary writing, and to allow children to honor their favorite authors.

Not quite finished reading the Great Stone Face nominees? We have a display of this year's nominees in the gallery right outside the Children's Room, and there's still a little time to wrap up your reading. You have until April 30th to vote for your favorite!
