We're excited to announce the first week's winners in our April Poem in Your Pocket Contest! In the younger age category, Melody McCarthy won with her poem on a paint chip about the color called "Candy Mix". The honors in the Age 8 & up category went to Claire Kraemer, with a wonderful original poem in free verse, entitled "Swimming". Both winners received gift certificates to Toadstool Book Shop. Why not try your hand at it? You may be next week's winner! Simply write some original poetry and bring it to the Children's Library. Label it with your name, age & phone number and place it in a pocket on the bulletin board.
