We're excited about some of the new fall programs that are coming up!
Here's one for Halloween...Do you have a favorite story character from a kids' book, like Harry Potter, Pete the Cat or Fly Guy? Why not bring that character to life in the form of a pumpkin in costume, then enter it in our Library Pumpkins Contest? How about Skippyjohn Jones, Captain Underpants or Olivia...the possibilities are endless! This is a family contest, so everyone can get creative. Dress your pumpkin at home, and bring it to the party at the library on October 28th. Be watching for more information on rules and suggestions. Registration will begin on-line on October 13...spooky, huh?
Book Club for grades 4-6 will be starting up on October 20th at 4:00pm, and will meet on the third Monday of every month. The first book for discussion will be UNGIFTED by Gordon Korman...club members will have a voice in future selections. Stay tuned for further details...on-line sign-ups will begin on Monday, September 22.
Good news from Maddy, everybody's favorite reading dog...she can't wait to come back to the library and listen to more kids read to her! Paws to Read will begin in October...we'll let you know her schedule as soon as we know it.
