Junior Librarian Super Squad

Wanna be a hero this summer? All Bedford students entering 5th grade and above are invited and encouraged to join our Super Squad of Junior Librarians. What do they do? Mainly 2 things: Check off reading charts & hand out prizes at Superhero Academy, and assist kids with crafts in the Bat Cave. It's fun, and it won't take too much of your time over the summer. We have such a large team, each Juior Librarian is assigned an average of 2 or 3 shifts, each lasting 2 hours. Register today in the Children's Library!

And the Winner Is...

Now it can be told... This year's Great Stone Face Book Award goes to Chris Grabenstein for Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. The graphic novel Cardboard, by Doug TenNapel, came in a close second, only 6 votes behind. Third place went to Athlete vs. Mathlete, by W.C. Mack. All told, the students of New Hampshire cast 6,157 ballots for their favorites, guided by a list of 20 excellent books.

Summer's Coming...

about it. There will also be scads of information here on our Website and also right in the library.
All Bedford kids from age 3-12 are welcome to join the reading club. Registration will
begin on Monday, June 8, but it  will remain open until the program ends in August.
